these are probably the last blog photos we will take around my parents yard/street/neighborhood because WE FINALLY MOVED INTO OUR CONDO. its a disaster zone and there are boxes everywhere but i managed to fit all 50 pairs of my shoes into our master closet so i guess its home now. i will probably do some sort of home tour blog post thing once we’re settled and we’ve painted over all the tan paint. i’m excited to be here, but i’ll be even more excited to be settled in and organized. which will hopefully be sooner rather than later, because i’m a little bit like monica gellar and can’t STAND clutter.
when i bought this dress, i wasn’t thinking that far past “ooh it has stripes i’ll buy it.” but, i wear this dress CONSTANTLY. the material is thicker and the sleeves are a bit longer, making this dress perfect in every season. definitely a closet staple!
i ordered this dress randomly off the old navy website without putting much thought into it past that the cut and the colors would be good for fall transition. little did i know that is a literal actual DREAM. i don’t know what they did making this dress, but it is SO SOFT. apparently i’m not the only one that caught on that this little number has a lot to give, because i can’t find it on the old navy website anymore? maybe if you’re lucky you can search one out in stores? if you do, pounce on it because i promise its worth the thirty bucks.
get ready for a lot of long sleeves/cut off combos because it’s my FAVORITE outfit during transitional months. every year around this time i just have a really hard time letting go of my cut offs so i hang on as long as possible. also, how great is this free people shirt? i love a good (and classy) open back top
photography (and hair color too!) by laura connor.
i stocked up on dresses like these this summer in a feeble attempt to stay cool and not melt, and it was approximately 267 degrees when we shot these photos. hopefully, maybe, fall will be here soon?
maybe its just me, but easy tshirt dresses like this are practically seasonless. loose and cool and comfortable for the unbearable summer heat, but if you add booties and a scarf its perfect for fall too. maybe even uggs in the winter?! (okay, too far i know)
simple and classic cut off shorts, white tshirt, and slides for a road trip through arkansas to visit some of our best friends. though everyone is in a fall mindset with back to school and football season starting, arkansas hasn’t gotten the memo and it’s still as hot and humid as ever.
